Chelsi H. Bennett, J.D. has designed multi-state government relations programs for Fortune 500 companies and led the advocacy that passed legislation and a budget amendment stalled for four years. She has also founded a food pantry from scratch and built a nonprofit from formation through active programming.
That second half is not a side interest. It is why the first half works. Public affairs campaigns fail at the seams — where the corporate ask meets what a legislator can defend, where the policy goal meets what a community will actually carry. Chelsi has stood on both sides of those seams, which is why she can build across them rather than hand off at them. Most consultants specialize in one of those rooms. Chelsi's work is the doorway between them: translating what companies need into what legislators can act on, what communities carry into what funders will support, and what a mission says on paper into how an organization actually runs. She teaches Grassroots Advocacy at the University of Richmond, chairs the Corporate Roundtable of the National Black Caucus of State Legislators, and has organized national events featuring presidential candidates. A Juris Doctor and co-author of She Writes for Him: Black Voices of Wisdom, she brings a rare combination of legal training, policy wins, and hands-on organizational building to every engagement. Joinery Partners is where that experience becomes one practice. |
START A CONVERSATION
If the pieces aren't fitting, that's the work.
Tell Chelsi what you're building and where it's stuck. Most engagements begin with a short conversation — no pitch, just a look at the joints.
Joinery Partners provides strategic consulting services only and does not provide legal services or legal advice.
